Hey guys,

My AK firing pin broke on me when I was half way through my 1st drum mag. Granted, the gun did have about 10,000 rounds through it and I rarely cleaned/lubed it. :D Where is a safe and cheap place to buy a replacement? Brownells has ones for 7.62x39 for $22 but that seems steep. Some places have them cheaper but the website look unsafe and amateur. Any advice?

I saw some Chinese ones on Gunbroker. One the one hand they are Chinese, on the other hand I haven't heard much compliants about Chicom AK variants.

This guy sells all kinds of original AK parts cheap: http://shop.ebay.com/vladimirbest/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25

The descriptions are in code to keep the ebay filters from deleting his auctions. See "device88".

22 dollars is to much to keep an ak running?

A firing pin is a firing pin. If I can save a few bucks buying somewhere cheaper I will.

Thanks for your links guys. They helped a lot :)

That's a smart guy, I never thought about selling gun stuff under code names.

"Device88" is a REALLY SKETCHY sounding code name. I like it a lot! It sounds like something that high security clearance CIA guys might whisper about.

"Have you seen the file on Device88"

"Yes, hasen't this gone far enough?"

"You can't possibly understand the implications, this will change the face of warfare as we know it!"

I was going to say that can't be possible... AK fail? But then if you have shot that many rounds without a cleaning or some lube... That's pretty good for just the firing pin!
