Does anyone know a source for a US made gas piston that will fit a
Yugo M64?

Thanks,
Chuck

no one? Basically the gas piston is shorter than a standard model- not sure if it is the same size as for the AMD65...

Ummm. Not entirely sure if this will solve your problem by TAPCO makes a universal AK gas piston that fits AK style rifles with either the shorter piston or longer, by adding or removing a threaded bushing. I'd check that out and see if that works for you. I'm buying one for my saiga today.

I just did a quick search and it looks like you'll need to use a AMD65 or cut one down and weld it back up. Try AKforum, AKfiles or even Gunco for information.

Saiga bolt carriers are AK74, you can use a 74 piston.
