View Full Version : Value of this S&W Model 63

I went out to the desert a few weekends ago....one of my customers heard me talking about it before I left and asked me if I had a .22. I don't and told him and he offered to let me borrow it as we had talked about my g-friend being new to shooting. Well, true to his word he dropped off a S&W Model 63 and I took it along to shoot. After I got back.....I was talking to him and he asked if I wanted to buy it as he had several guns he no longer shot... he gave me a price. After looking online..I am shocked to see these guns being asked as much as $550-600 for. It's in really nice shape.....original grips etc...older I believe..serial #AFZ1XXX......and now I'm thinking I should buy it and turn it for a few bucks to spend on other stuff.

So my question is....anybody want to place a real world value on this gun? Anyone interested in this particular piece?

I just took a closer look.....

Dash marks are as follows

a sideways S

Overall barrel length is 4 1/8
Barrel length from the frame on is 3 3/8

Anyone have an idea of what year this was produced?

I've seen them go for $500-600, but that's in NIB condition with the box and papers.

If you buy it you should keep it !!! Thats a very nice little gun ... you'll definately enjoy shooting the lil kit gun.

I would buy that gun and keep it. Great quality and cheap to shoot. I bet it's real accurate and easy to shoot.

Its worth AT LEAST 10% more than current stainless .22 S&W revolver that is NIB.
