lol..maybe a stupid question but was wondering if anyone has shot a kimber 9mm 1911. does the recoil from both calibers feel the same? Can't find a kimber 1911 9mm to shoot near me...so i have to find out this way!
-Thanks in advance!

Check out the link above. You can actually see the difference in recoil and muzzle flip. While they're not Kimbers, same gov't size 1911 in a Springfield.
Hope this helps,

I have both Kimbers in 9mm and .45
They're very different in recoil characteristics, but equal in fun value.

I have a Kimber Stainless II in 9mm and a Nighthawk Custom GRP in .45
Recoil is less significant in the 9mm. I shoot it more because 9mm ammo is cheaper. If ammo prices being the same, I'd shoot thousands of rounds of the .45 per month.

When I was in the market for a 9mm I tried a Kimber 9mm and a CZ 75B.
Kimber recoil was mild and stayed on target too. I liked it.
Tried the CZ and it was just as comfortable to shoot and also scary accurate.
Kimber price is more. CZ is higher capacity, DA and cheaper. Went to the CZ.
BTW, I use a Kimber .45 every day and find them to be well made and accurate.
Shoot first then decide. Buyer's remorse sucks.
