Wow, If it was here in kommifornia, the kitty would almost end up being the winner everytime if it was killed by a civi in a defense situation. The media title would be " Mt lion was shot&killed by homeowner" and the people would say that the lion didn't need to be killed, but caught and relocated

Wow. Consider I frequently bow hunt alone stuff like that makes me want to wait until daylight before jumping into the woods.

I've never seen a cat in the wild which probably lends to some of my fear. I did have an encounter where I had snuck up this logging road during deer rifle season and when I came back down the road (maybe 20 mins later) there was a new cat track right next to my track. I took off my hat, placed it next to the track and took a photo. Can't say if the cat was following me or just happened to cross but I went straight back to the truck and went somewhere else.

That was erie.

Ummmm, isn't it illegal to have a firearm while your hunting??? I was told it was. Even if you have a ccw.

Would love to hear from the trapper wether he thinks this is legit or not.

pieeater, that's what I'm wondering. No tracks and hounds can't find a scent??? Wouldn't be the first time someone told a tall tale about seeing a big cat.

Yep I dont know the trailing conditions or how long it took the trapper to get there. But im sure he could have cut a track somewhere even if it was too old to run.

Follow up article says that they zapped the cat about a half mile from the home two days later.
