I found a nice Sig, at a nice price, and I can't find anyone who will do the FFL for less than $80.00 PLUS Sales tax.

Where is SoCal are you located? If your near Riverside, try Brightspot Pawn. Do a search on here for his phone number under Brightspot or BPS.

There is no tax on the dealer fee for a transfer because it is a service. My local dealer charged me $50 to do a transfer.

Yes there are taxes that are collected when an item comes in from out of state/country. It's called "Use tax" refer to SBOE PDF#112 for details for out of state vendor purchases. You don't want the BOE on your rear for not paying taxes - it has nothing to do with State income tax (FTB).... Out of state purchases are not exempt from sales/use taxes - period!

Use taxes are normally paid by individuals on their state income tax form. It is not directly related, but a space on the tax form is provided for convienience in paying the use taxes. It is probably the most underused space on the form.:)

So much that happens on this board would be much easier to coordinate if people would just put something in their location.

Orange Pawn Shop in the city of Orange. Very hassle free. Not a penny more than $60.
