I was planning to go on a yote hunt Sat the 19th the day before Fathers Day, is there anyone going?

Now that my kids are done playing soccer and I now have some free time on the weekends I wanted to try and get some stands in on Sat the 19th. I am willing to drive some distance. I have a chevy cavalier so if there is someone that wants go get out and use their truck then I will fill your tank with fuel (gas or Diesel).

Also I am looking to get my first kill STILL! So yes I am a noob and I am itching to get my feet wet!

Shoot me a PM and lets try and get some yotes!

Thanks,

CryoGuy

I might be able to go but I will have to wait until next week to let you know. I usually go out of Mojave if you are up to driving up there. Let me know and we will see what next week brings!

Where are you planning on doing this? If its in Big Jake's neck of the woods,(out in the Mojave) I would love to come out. Put me on the list, please.

Just an FYI but It is really hard to hunt with more than about 3 people.

I guess I need to order some lead free ammo for the Mosin!

Good luck with that. It is hard too find. You can always use the shotty with dead coyote. Or if you want you can use my shotty or my .223 A-Bolt.

Or what is a recommendation for my shotgun? #4 Tin alloy, #6 tin alloy, or #2 steel #4 steel?

I would love to try a different rifle! I will buy the ammo whechever works out best for you. What ammo do you use in your .223?

I use Federal .55 grain. Works well in my mini-.14.

I am having a hard time finding the ammo on line. I would like to use your gun but I would also like to buy you some ammo in return for your generosity.

That is if we can get out

Dont worry about it. All I ask is that you dont drop a $1000+ build dedicated hunting rifle.:D

I am sorry but I have to cancel. I was invited to go horseback riding with a fellow Marine that is with the Wounded Warriors Battalion. He has severe PTSD and TBI (traumatic Brain Injury) from a roadside bomb in Iraq. He is going through a new kind of therapy called Equine Therapy, the horses are the basis for the therapy.

I honestly appreciate the replies and the generosity of you guys. I will try to get out again soon, I just feel that helping a fellow injured Marine is more important than going hunting. I hope you guys understand and I hope I didn't change your previously changed schedule.

Thanks again

I am heading out tomorrow morning since I seen 2 today on my way into work. They were pretty small but by no means pups. I hope to take them down with my bow tomorrow.

With this moon phase and the weather conditions tomorrow should be a very nice hunt. About 9am I will quit and then head out to the Raahauges Gun Show.
