As far as I know the gun can be shipped in State or out of State. It's still a PPT even if it's shipped AFAIK. Our local dealer felt $1800 was a fair price, he sold one just recently in less than a week for the same price.

I've reduced the price to $1500. As I said in the ad he is very open to reasonable offers on this gun and the Gold Cup. Does anyone know where I can find out when the gun was made? The serial # is K33583. I searched on Bing and couldn't find any info on when it was made.

Yes it is a 357 mag. Regarding your PM, I'll ask my dad and get back to you. Thanks.

All thats missing is the wood grips, you wouldn't have them by any chance would you?

Greg F.
06-04-2010, 1:37 PM
No, I don't have the wood grips. The Pachmayrs were on there when I bought the gun used the better part of 20 years ago. Not long after I bought it I sold it to my dad. He's basically kept it loaded in his nightstand in a padded case and shot less than 100 rounds through it in all these years.

Selling PPT in CA without Face-to-Face is possible - but most FFLs will not do this cause it is a hassle if the buyer doesn't quality.

Great pistol for a good price! Someone will love this wheeler.

Is Python still available as of 6/27/10?

Greg F.

Yes, the Python is still available. However, the Gold Cup appears to be sold. I'm waiting for a confirmation from the interested party as we speak.

The buyer backed out on the Gold Cup, so it's still available. Now it looks like the Python might be sold (fingers crossed).

I've received several PM's lately with offers for the Gold Cup. The offers were much lower than my Dad's willing to accept for it. Apparently there's some confusion as to the price of the GC. The people making the offers thought the price was $1500 when the ad clearly states the price as $1875. The $1500 price was for the Python that I sold, never the GC. I feel, as does my local dealer, that $1875 is a very good price for the GC. Factory nickel GC's in this condition are very rare (I've only been able to find one other for sale and it was almost $3000) and thus more valuable than the common blued versions. I appreciate everyone's interest in my Dad's guns.

This is the last bump for these guns. The guns are still available, unless posted otherwise here. I won't be checking this thread very often anymore, so please send comments or offers to me in a PM or email. Thanks.

Ok, if you've been lusting after the Gold Cup, this is your absolute final chance to buy it before it goes on consignment at our local store. The price is $1500 firm + $60 shipping if out of State + PPT fees. This is absolutely the final price reduction, please don't bother PM'ing with lower offers, this is the absolute lowest price my Dad will accept. First person to post an "I'll take it" here followed up by a PM or email gets it. Thanks.
