CCR offers Premier Finishes for Firearms. Cera-Plate and Cera-Hide

Cera-Hide is a proprietary finish formulated by CCR just for firearms. It is unlike those DIY products such as Duracoat and Cerakote that don't hold up to my standards of durability.

Cera-Hide is a thermally cured applied coating that has a nano ceramic infused matrix. It offers untold rust and corrosion protection along with being a self lubricating finish. It can be applied to all steels and alloys.

We also Mil spec Parkerize all carbon steel parts which provides an extra level of rust protection

Cera-Hide is available in Matte Black, House Black (a deep rich med luster) Stainless look, BTM ( similar to brushed nickel) OD Green,Dark Earth and our NEW Tri-Tanium color. Other colors maybe done on request

This is the House Black Cera-Hide

Cera-Plate is a true composite plating consisting of an Electroless Nickel/Boron Nitride bath

Cera-Plates benefits are
* Extremely low co-efficient of friction. Which greatly reduces wear on
sliding parts
* Boron Nitride offers great lubrication. The Boron Nitride is dispersed
throughout the plating exposing new lubrication
* Cera-Plate has a higher hardness then standard plating and a fantastic
Satin look

Cera-Plate will be available on Carbon Steels . We will not be plating Alloys such as Sig frames.

Can you get my 870 back to me by Duck Season?

It's a parkerized 870 Express with black synthetic stock.

Has some Rust on the barrel and receiver.

I'd love to see some more examples of your Camo work.

I've had 6 of my SIG's refinished by CCR. They are the best in the business, as far as I'm concerned.

For your coating service it says:

Complete handgun including one mag Cera-Hide Reg $159 SALE $139

Complete Carbon Steel handgun including one mag in Cera-Plate Reg $269SALE $239

Is the first special for stainless/alloy handguns? Why the extra $100 for carbon steel?

I have an old 1911 that really needs refinishing.

ccr
06-22-2010, 11:48 AM
Fjold
The $139 finish is our Cera-Hide formula that is available for all types of metals and alloys

The $239 finish on carbon steels is our Cera-Plate which is an Electroless Nickel / Boron Nitride composite plating process

Turnaround times vary depending on what finish and what needs to be done to your gun. Your best bet is to email us at ccr@embarqmail.com when you are ready to ship it in and I can be more exact on a turnaround time

Got my 226 back. Work overall looks great. The 1 spot that isn't in the same finish is where the frame is held while being refinished. Cera-plate slide, cera-hyde (tritanium) frame. Controls are black and 5 mags in cera-hyde as well.

Left side of the frame, just above the take down lever.

The Tritanium looks awesome! Do you spray over existing parkerizing or park before spraying? What kind of prep is involved/needed to get the best finish? My 1911 might be headed your way soon...

ccr
07-17-2010, 8:41 AM
We start from scratch . We remove the original finish then the metal is all prepped by hand then we parkerize all steel parts for an additional layer of protection then the Cera-Hide is applied and thermally cured and reinspected.

I have talked to other finishers in regards to shipping… “Because California has got that new shipping law”… and they said that if it was a personal firearm, and not a new one that it can be shipped as machine parts… The first time I had a firearm shipped to me was from Las Vegas and it cost me $70.00 for the shipping… How do you guys see, or handle shipping in and out of California?
Also can you use either CERA-HIDE or CERA-PLATE and make the finsh look like the old style deep bluing? and if not what colors can you produce with a high shine?
