Nice deal for a great smith. I have the exact same one, although yours is in better shape. Good luck with the sale!

Do you know the history of the revolver? Do you know how that notch ended up there in that location? I ask because some LEO's would notch their grips at that location after having taken out a bad guy, the hard way.
I have a model 19 that took out a very mean hombre, a long time ago, on a dark street. My model 19 is notched exactly like yours, in the very same spot. I'll never sell that model 19...

I'm the second owner. I"m not sure where the notch came from but I'm pretty sure the gun has not been used in active duty.
I'm willing to ship out of state no problem. Since the gun is off-roster (57-1 not 57) shipping in-state would be a challenge but my understanding is that I the seller don't have to be present to fill out the paperwork. Finding an FFL that understands these points may be difficult but I'm willing to try. Buyer would pay shipping.

You may want to look into the whole "not being present" thing.
Every pistol that I have sold lately required a seller's signature, thumb print, information and CDL. While you could possibly provide those remotely, I've never heard of an FFL willing to do so.
Better to be safe than sorry.
