Jeebus fargin christ. They must've squirreled away a sheet load of that South Africa when it was available. They're the only ones that have it, and were the only distributor of it. SA stopped export of it awhile back (unless all that has changed). When it first hit several years ago (after all the Portuguese .308 dried up), it was only a little over $20 per battle pack. I still have some left.

Still cost way too much for old surplus at that price. I mean, it was made 30 plus years AGO. They can choke on it. BLAH.

Wow, 7.62x51 surplus prices must have come down. That SA battle pack (140 rounds) used to go for $200 now, $70?

Still kinda high in my book. I'll wait a little longer

Obviously surplus 7.62 is still being imported. I'll wait for the prices to come down, which they will.
