The factory recoil pad on my new 870 is just a little softer than my workbench. Any of you folks ever try some of the pre-fit aftermarket pads that are available? Thanks…

Try Remingtons R3 (Limb Saver) recoil pad. It's very "soft". It helped with recoil when shooting slugs. Now only my cheek hurts.

You mean you don't like the feel of your factory recoil brick?:D :D

Whimps!

As soon as I get this sling off from the last time I shot 3 1/2" magnums I'll show you all :D

Get a Limbsaver and never worry about recoil again. No joke.

I tried limb saver, it has much cushion on it.

Limbsaver is the way to go.
