I don't have to tell anyone here how hard they are to come by, I had to sell my soul to my distributors. I have two of each...:)

Sorry guys on the prices, must have slipped...I'm just doing regular MSRP on them because it has taken me over a year to get some...

SS is 1799
Socom is 1899

What's the difference?

Socom 16 has a 16" barrel, ghost ring on the back, big dot tritium front.

Scout Squad has 18" barrel, standard military peep sight, standard post front.

Both have the forward mounted rail right in front of the chamber area so you can mount a forward scout type scope.

The Socom16 and all 16" M1A models have a proprietary gas system which is not compatible with the 18" and 20" models.

Thanks for the compliment! I was actually looking at your ad not too long ago thinking about picking up a M1A after I sell my Noveske :)

Hey! That was for me!

As for the 7.62x51 platform, it's hard to beat a M1A and while some may prefer the AR-10 platform, I prefer the M1A which is based on the M-14 which is based on the M1 Carbine and M1 Garand which is the finest battle implement ever devised.
