Well I read his SB1545 Bill and do approve of a longer prison sentence for crimials caught with guns. I just wish he would title his webpage on the topic more accurately.

This is the webpage:
http://www.pooch4ag.com/news/view_article.cfm?ID=79

The title on the page is:
GETTING TOUGH ON GUNS

A better title is:
GETTING TOUGH ON CRIMINALS WHO POSSESS GUNS

I'll need to do more research to be sure but as it is now, I would vote for him.

Edited to fix some typing errors and add I like your title too Paladin.

How about GETTING TOUGHT ON FELONS WHO POSSESS GUNS ?

Vote, tell/call/email friends & family members to vote for him, send him money (the "mother's milk" of politics), and perhaps even volunteer for his campaign.

I emailed his staff a few weeks back about his position on guns and got no reply.

Seems like the Republican party just keeps asking me for money, but I'm not seeing any improvement...quite the opposite IMO.

Former Governor and current Mayor of Oakland, Jerry Brown has indicated his interest in the AG position. The guy hasn't done squat to stop crime in Oakland, but name recognition alone will get him a lot of votes. If you think Lockyer is bad news for gun owners, just imagine what this Demoturd will do. We need to get the word out.

I hope everyone is registered to vote! Spreading the news is great but the real results will be decided in the booth....:D

Poochigian is conservative, pro-family and supportive of gun owners. The Demos have no one that they will run who will be anything close to pro-gun. This is a no-brainer. Vote for Poochigian.

Found The "other" party's candidate for Atty Gen are today..Just wonderful.

Neither of these two guys are good for law-abiding gun enthusiasts,
but Delgadillo will get a lot of the L.A vote as well as other
Dems/Independent votes. It's going to be tough. We
have to do what we can to get Poochigian in as the Atty
Gen. Here's the "enemy", and I do mean enemy.

Look who Brown has supporting him. You might want
to take a shot of Pepto Bismal before you click the link.
The pic is a little nauseating..

Frankly if a Demo gets in you are quite a bit better off with Jerry Brown than Delgadillo. But of course vote for Poochigian.

I've heard Jerry Brown make some favorable remarks in discussion of SF gun ban vs state preemption laws. In no ways is he a progunner, but he's talked about 2nd Amendment gun rights issues and expressed that 'gun people' not really the problem, it's gang thugs. He is a fairly bright, rational, well-educated/well-read guy that's backed off from a lot of the Governor Moonbeam stuff.

You can't always read sentiments from a supporters list - that's more a reflection of who-helps-whom with slushy surplus/leftover campaign funds, which are often really a bet on whom is more electable.

Jeez, that Jerry Brown scares the crap out of me. I remember his first tenure as governor.

Bill you're a lot more knowledgeable on this stuff than I, but
when one sees names like these throwing their hats behind
any candidate, be it excess monies from campaigns, etc,
I have concerns. I see no names here who are friends
of the pro gun front, but again they aren't running for
AG. I haven't listened to Brown for a LONG time, but
here are his present endorsements, all subject to change
of course.

Federal:

Dianne Feinstein, United States Senator
Nancy Pelosi, United States House Democratic Leader
Al Gore, Former Vice President
Howard Berman, Congressman
Sam Farr, Congressman
Doris Matsui, Congresswoman
Hilda Solis, Congresswoman
Ellen Tauscher, Congresswoman
Diane Watson, Congresswoman
Lynn Woolsey, Congresswoman

State and Local:

Martha Escutia, State Senator
Nell Soto, State Senator
Joe Nation, Assemblymember
Ira Ruskin, Assemblymember
Nell Soto, Assemblymember
John Burton, Former State Senate President Pro Tem
Hannah-Beth Jackson, Former Assemblymember
Yvonne Braithwaite Burke, Supervisor, Los Angeles County
Ignacio De La Fuente, President City Council, Oakland
Gloria Molina, Supervisor, Los Angeles County
Gavin Newsom, Mayor of San Francisco
Rudy Bermudez, Assemblymember
Mervyn M. Dymally, Assemblymember

Delgadillo did have some minor support from the
local pro gun front when he first ran for L.A City Atty,
but has since lost that as well. Anyway you look at it,
having a Dem as the AG again spells trouble. Especially
with the likes of Westly and Angelides running for Gov.

I see Angelides winning the Gov's chair, and then will
scat ever start running downhill, with us at the bottom..!

I just hope Poochigian can get in. I know for a fact
he has two votes..
