Check to see if you have the both the detent and spring in there. It might have dropped out when you changed the grip or still on the other pistol grip.

Loosen grip and remove. Check for spring and proper (correct) detent. If one is missing that would be the culprit. Maybe put the spring inside your extra plastic grip that came with your LPK and check the depth that it sticks out once inserted. Compare that to doing the same with your new Moe grip. It could be that the spring goes too far down into that hole on the Moe. Sometimes things happen. On my last lower build the depth of the tapped hole for the grip bolt was to shallow, resulting in not being able to tighten my grip flush to the receiver. The solution was either use a small washer, or shave down the bolt a bit.

You put the selector lever on the left? Right! Just checking a friend did that o. His lower and it did the same.

Probably missing the detent spring or the wrong spring (the selector will easily spin with pretty much no pressure on it)

there should be a small pin that goes into the selector switch and pushed up by the spring and pressure from the pistol grip. go to brownells dot com and check the tutorials this is an easy fix.

it sounds like your missing the little detent pin that goes in on top of the spring.

I made one out of an 8 penny finish nail once - clip it near the head, round the top, file a bit. Worked fine until the Brownells bag of little stuff arrived.
