Anyone own a Remington 7615 - slide action rifle that takes AR mags? I agree it's ugly as hell, a bit odd but for some reason I kind of like the darn thing. Maybe it appeals to my like of not losing brass. Outfitted with a PG AR type stock and a Beta Mag (or stick hi caps) and maybe a brake? They seem to go for about $450.00 or so.

I assume the trigger pull is crappy, but other than that how is it?

Yes. (we've gone over t his s cople of times.)
trigger pull crappy
Magwell badly mated to gun and plastic
Pump chalky

I've had two, one with PG and one without -- HOPED I would love them. Sold them both. The idea is still good but you would have to spend some money to have a gunsmith experienced with 870s (it's built on the 20 gauge 870 frame) slick up the action and trigger. THEN it would be worth owning.

They're Accurate as hell.

Really? Or should there be some sort of funny face at the end of the sentence - I wouldn't have figured them for accurate. I was leaning towards "good idea, poor execution" as described two floors up .....

A friend has one and likes it, the one with the standard sporting stock. Accuracy is ok; not a tack driver but better than a Mini 14.

I like mine. Its no 'tack driver' but its not meant to be. It works fine as a plinking/hd/varmint rifle without having to do mods just to use hi cap mags. It is also a nice choice if you also carry an 870.

If you can get one in the 450 dollar range, I say do it!

Funny how the die hard 870 guys who slam all other pumps don't ever comment on the crappy trigger pull, when universally this rifle has a reputation for having a terrible trigger.

Looking for a 7615. Anyone know store that still has one on hand in So. Cal?

Just ordered one. Order one through your local GS
Gotta find a shotgun wizard to slick up that action and trigger...

Mine was ~MOA, which for it's intended purpose was extremely good. It could have shot better with a trigger job (probably what was holding it back the most). It was scoped and benched, I was using reloads.
