I think this is still the best deal for store bought .223 going right now. Shipping to San Diego was like 16 bucks. Not sure if they still running the freight promo...

San Diegians...not to threadjack the Cabelas deals, but

.223 PMC Bronze 55gr FMJ BT on sale currently at $5.69 a box at the Discount Gun Mart places.

The also had the PMC Bronze .308 147gr FMJ-BT at, I think it was $12.99 a box. Prices current as of 25 May.

HTH. :)

Correct...in-store deal. I shoulda wrote that. :)

Owever, my receipt from yesterday (instore at Santee) sez 64.90 for 10 boxes. So I was wrong on that too. Maybe the rate changed today? Grrrrr.

Thanks :)

Are Tulas magnetic or non-magentic?

I was close to buying the Tula stuff but a friend talked me out of it. I ended up getting some russian FMJ from ammoman.com. $259 shipped for 1000 rounds. $10 off if you send in a check. Code number/part number: 223R55-1000

They have steel, so yes magnetic.

and you bought different Russian ammo at a 25% higher price? Your friend did your wallet a dis-service but that's just my semi worthless opinion. I wont tell you how to spend your cash. Was it brass?

Hell buy the Tula too. :43:

Not sure if you know or not but arfcom has a pretty good ammo forum. The "ammo price list" forum is very helpful in tracking down who has the best/better deals. Usually someone throws a good sale (at todays clip that is) bout once a month or so...

Ignore the idiots over there. Lots of good info.
