I bought this AR a few months ago from another CGer to have a nice carbine to use in 3 gun matches. I saved my pennies and finally got it where I want it. Some of the things I bought I didn't think I wanted (like a red dot or a VFG) until I borrowed other peoples rifles in matches.

Here's a before pic (minus the sling, rear sight and the 10/20 mag).

After a few thousand pennies it looks like...

One of these days I'll take better pics. The one in my avatar is from the during process.

The specs are:

Lower-
-LRB receiver
-Daniel Defense LPK
-Magpul CTR Mil-Spec butt stock and buffer assembly
-Stag H buffer
-Midwest Industries sling adapter
-Blackhawk single point sling.
-and a modified Colt 9mm bolt catch due to an out of spec lower-

Upper-
-Bravo Company receiver
-Daniel Defense M4 16" barrel assembly
-Daniel Defense BCG
-Daniel Defense Omega X 12.0 FSP rail
-Daniel Defense VFG
-Troy rear sight
-Eotech 516

I can't wait to get it out to the next match to try out the single point sling and the VFG. It feels great and should help shooting unsupported. I didn't realize it at the time but I basically got a DD M4 with a couple of small upgrades.

If anyone's wondering, I don't have any trouble changing mags during a match when using a GPik. I wear one on my middle finger and it works great.

If I change anything else it will be adding a BCM Gunfighter charging handle. I just need to figure out what size fits me best.

What do you think? Don't hate it because it's beautiful :43:

Looks like it works good.
I got a LRB lower to but it's just a stripped receiver. :)

How about an ergo grip for a more comfortable hold?

That's right. It's not so much "done," as "ready to build the next one" ;)
