So my feed ramps look like the "bad" feed ramps in this picture
I have a Daniel Defense 16" barrel mated with an ASA side charger upper.

I have had no problems feeding through almost 250 rounds but have heard if its bad it will probably eventually have problems.

Dremel grind and polish?

You could just replace the barrel extension with one of these. (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=776862)

If your rifle feeds fine I would not worry about it untill a problem arises.

This is not recomended, it would need to be properly indexed to the barrel. the easiest way to correct rifle feedramps in a m4 upper receiver would be to grind them down with a dremel and 1/4 inch stone. Remove the barrel from the upper prior to cutting the feedramps. Should only take you a few minutes to tare down your upper and cut the feedramps.

Your upper has m4 feed ramps but barrel does not? You could pick up a new stripped upper w/out m4 feed ramps for $60 or so from jd machine

I had the standard feed ramps and turned them into M4 feed ramps with my dremel tool. Took 5 minutes and have shot it thousands of times. Did wonders.

That was what I was going to say, you can dremel them. I'm sure Randall would do it, I know Adco offers a M4 feedramps dremeling service.

Thanks guys. I think I will dremel it myself when the need arrives. Reading Adco's description makes sense to leave it in the upper so that you can get a perfect match.

I hate to thread jack but....I just got my .308 Iron Ridge upper/lower combo, and I have a DPMS barrel extension that appears to have half-assed extended feed ramps. Now, the receiver itself seems to have semi-"cuts" or whatever for the extended feed ramps. Do you guys think I will have any problems? Should I have someone correct this?

And just about the only picture of my receiver that came out clear

That is why smoothing it out with a dremel while it is together in the gun is good. It won't have seams. You will either have feed hang-ups or it will mark the bullet as it is entering the chamber and that will cause inaccuracy. You could either send it back and hope they fix it properly, take it to a gunsmith or buy a dremel and fix it in mere moments if you can work on things like this.

I know 've read it before, just cant remember which thread. Anyway, I'm sure I'd be corrected if I'm wrong.
There wont be any feeding issues on non M4 feed ramps, the M4 cut feed ramps was designed for reliability on full auto fire. Since we civvies, only have the semis then its not really going to matter (something to that effect).

Though with OPs case, not sure if its an issue.
