Seen 3 called in 2. The third one we spotted a buddy of mine did not get the rifle loaded twice and it was missed. I then took a broadside standing shot at him at around 100 yards and went right over him. All in all the weather was great and it was hot by 8:30am. We spotted this coyote at around 10:30am near a place I was just calling.

Just a reminder if you are using a magazine type rifle don't forget to fully insert the magazine.:D

If the first attempt to shoot is a FTF then apply SPORTS

Simple enough question - You answered him here with a post - Why not state the answer to his question and quiet him down for good instead of dragging it out -

Already posted many times on here. If you are that curious find it yourself.

Because it has been answered on here many times and I will not post it again and waste my time. If he was where he was supposed to be at the Raahauges Pheasant hunt he could have sen my DD-214 for himself. I was training with the special forces on the exercise Robin Sage and I did kill a pig with a knife. It was a home grown hog.

Bs, never even tells mos to anyone. Nice miss by the way. Were you laugh at your army stories?

professionalcoyotehunter
05-24-2010, 8:18 AM
That is funny because my MOS is posted. You could not have made that shot either.

Vepr62
05-24-2010, 9:50 AM
I missed a 350-400lb hog once at about 75 yards and with the second shot at about 50 yards. By the time for a third shot I was about 10 feet high on a branchless tree and my Tikka was on top of a bush. He got away not wounded, and I got away alive. Only the Internet Ninjas don't miss, and I am much better shot at the range than in the wilderness. I try to practice in real hunting conditions as much as possible. And killing farm grown pig with a knife not a big deal. In my village where I grew up we slaughtered home grown pigs with knives, not electricity. I put down 50+ pigs myself in the 80th.

Awesome. I did not think it was that hard either with a knife. It was sure a rush. Where I hunt in the open country there is nothing to get a nice shot of of if you are standing like I was.

Since it has been posted more than half of a Dozen times I doubt it. I even posted the pic of my class which in front of us had out Class Number.

Tell you what Travis. Since you probably owe me a block of instruction for recovering your chair at Jeff's, you can use my camera gear if you take me out on a hunt in the AV. got some new gear I want to try out anyway. And don't let the wannabee, wish they had been there, keyboard warriors rent space in your head. Since you don't wake up next to them, and they don't sign your paycheck, what they think doesn't really matter.

professionalcoyotehunter
05-24-2010, 4:43 PM
I agree with you.

I do owe you for returning my chair. I sure missed it. I will try to schedule a hunt with you soon. Grab jeff also and lets get some dogs. I am headed for a funeral this week for my grandpa and I dont know when I will be back.

Yes running shot's are hard to hit .
You do know pup's are on the ground and most dedicated coyote hunter's will stop this time of year and let them raise their pups .This way we will keep the cycle going so we could continue hunting them .

Only one class in 2000 had rifles in thier photo.

Well there is your answer. I am so proud that you have time to waste to figure that out but now what? I am obviously in the photo but you probably cant spot me since I only weighed about 180 at that time and was only 18.

You have it all wrong.

A dedicated hunter will do everything he can to control the varmints in his/her area to protect the rest of the wildlife even if that includes hunting in extreme weather conditions that others cant or should'nt.

Low life lazy non-dedicated hunters will give up when the going gets tough and the heat bothers them.

I will hunt them anytime since the season is "Open" year round. They are a huge nuisance in my area and it is obviously not hurting the population at all by hunting them in the summer since I have been doing it for the last 17 years and know many others in my rea that do the same.

Granted I know the pelts will be worth nothing and the meat will most likely spoil before I get home.

my 22-250 and I may tag along if that's alright...

I am not sure. Everything is up in the air until the dust settles from my grandfather passing yesterday. I am not sure when his memorial will be held I just know it will be done in Vegas with a 21 gun salute.

I did not mean to offend you in any way that is just my opinion. I do not purposely target the pups but if they come in and I miss them or they spot me they will be educated so I must try my best to take them out as well.
