Do you guys think it is really worth it to pay a premium for the new LMT SOPMOD gen II with the qd swivel attatchment?? Or would you just get the gen I and pay less? I'm currently faced with this dilemna..... I have read that you can actually get an adapter for the Gen I so you can attatch a sling. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated :)

Seems like if I were paying that much for a stock already, I'd probably just pay the extra. When it comes to stuff like that, I usually shell out the extra, otherwise I regret it in the long run.

Either way is fine. Just a note that the adapter on a Gen I will put the swing swivel a little bit higher on the stock than the built-in on a Gen II, if you have a preference on that.

not sure if you'd save any money if you add the price of an adapter to a gen 1 stock. go with the gen 2... which happens to be in stock in my shop. what a coincidence...

Never been a SOPMOD fan. Too stock Colt for my tastes. I would try a VLTOR or HK E1 stock. Both are under $300 though but over $250 when shipped next day.

I believe you mean too stock LMT right.

I wouldnt buy just the stock. I would buy a complete LMT lower with SOPMOD. Its 479 at riflegear. I own 2, and dont have a need for any other stock.

Put a bunch of rounds downrange with a SOPMOD stock and you might just become a believer! Valkyrie's got them in stock, so give it a try, I bet you'll love it.

I also have a Magpul ACS and I like that more than an SOPMOD. Friend has a SOPMOD and just never got into the looks and the ACS works just as good IMO. But I wanted the HK E1 since I am an HK416 fan. I like the look and it does just as good as my ACS. So in my small world there is no need for any type of SOPMOD. lol:D;)

Question: Where do I get the adapter if I already have the Gen I?

These adapters will work with the Gen I SOPMOD
