Looks awesome! One comment criticism I would have is the "dont tread on me" is too far to the right causing the "me" to hit the radius of the mag-well. Just a little to the left might be better, then again that could cause the snake to be off center enough to draw others criticism.

I love the proper flag direction. Nice touch, most companies wouldn't even care to do that and would do it wrong just to please "the masses".

The American flag really doesnt have a certian direction since its double sided. Like on military jets, nasa shuttle, ect ect. They apply the flag as you would see it if it was moving in the wind. So on the right side if its moving forward, it would apear to be backwards

Been looking for a company or local place who can do engravings, or etching designs on a already owned lower reciever. Most places like spikes ect requires you do add it to your cart upon purchase, and wont do the etchings on already owned/used lowers

the flag should appear to be advancing and not retreating. Thus, if your patch is to be worn on your LEFT sleeve, use a left flag (normal). For patches worn on your RIGHT sleeve, use a "right" or "reversed field" flag.

Since the Flag Rules do not specifically address the positioning of the patch, a decision is left to the discretion of the organization prescribing the wear. Some elect to use the "left" flag on both sleeves. [Note: many states and cities have ordinances pertaining to the use of the flag; you may wish to contact the Attorney General of your state or the City Attorney's office regarding this matter.] If you are planning to wear only one patch, it is recommended that you wear a "left" flag on your left sleeve.

Military guidelines specify that in support of joint or multi-national operations (as in Iraq), the "right" flag is worn on the right sleeve (see picture), 1/4" below the shoulder seam or 1/8" below any required unit patches. (Class A uniform excepted.)

Some people find the "right flag" disrespectful of the flag and some are calling it the "wrong flag." They seek to gain support to encourage a change in the regulations to always use a "left flag" even on a right sleeve.

I've been wanting to get flag patches and a flag engraved on my lower, but I'm not sure its proper etiquette. It says the patches are not to be used on "costumes". And since I'm not in the military and don't have a uniform, I don't feel it would be proper for me to use a patch. So I have not yet bought any patches.

It was tough... I guess I could of moved the whole image slightly to the left.
I was thinking about putting the words at an angle to match mag well... but settled on this design and outlined the word versus filling them in.

How much would the "Don't Tread On Me" design run? I suggested that in that other custom lower thread. Being a history major it's way up my alley and I love it. Questions though. Is laser etching permanent or can it wear off? Also, does the etching cut down into the lower like engraving does or is just a surface change? Thanks

I love the flag. just a tad too big for my taste. nevertheless, I even suggested that idea just a few minutes ago on the "custom lower thread" and I JUST saw your lower on this thread. What a coincidence. Great job.
