Barrel finishes?? I like the finish of the stainless steel barrel as it comes on the Stag Model 6L, but want it darker like on this upper

*Sabre Defence 24 Inch SS Fluted Barrel With 12 Inch Vented Free Float Upper*

I saw one today at the range and loved the way its color went with the all black rifle. Any suggestions on getting it done?? Costs?$$$

Thanks fellas

That's probably a blasted finish instead of just raw stainless as machined.
The whole upper has to come apart.
The barrel gets blasted.
Then the whole upper gets put back together.

Yup, Sabre stainless barrels are VERY roughly blasted. The barrels themselves almost feel like sandpaper. But it's very good looking and pretty darn matte.

Hey thanks for the info. Do you know anyone who does it? I know you do barrels and all that and I actually shot you an email about getting that barrel threaded. I am in Orange County

Very cool. I appreciate the reply. Do you know what kind of place does this work?

I do it.
I don't read my emails though so you would do better to PM me. ;)
