I have recently caught the urge of starting an AR10 build :D . I was wondering if an AR-15 RIS system (Daniel Defense RIS II) could be put on or modified to fit an AR-10? This would be pretty sweet if possible. Thanks.

I'm trying to use my RIS II rather than spend more money

No, they are not interchangeable. Barrel nuts are different sizes along with the rail height being different.

What if you buy a ar10 barrel nut? Would the free float from an ar15 work then?

No, they are not the same in any fashion dimensionally. The ONLY way you can use an AR-15 handguard on an AR-10/LR10 is buy using the DPMS Gen 2 receivers.

What upper and lower are you thinking about building with?
