Yeah, Ball Watch Company if I remember correctly were the first to introduce pocket watches with the so called "Railroad Standard". Which was a mechanical technological apex standard of its time. The watch has to be able to keep time within +/- 3 seconds in a day. And able to stand differences in temperature, magnetism, spring tension and various positions ..... In an age before modern machinery and when horses are the regular means of transportation; that is simply amazing. The modern "Swiss Made" version probably uses a standard ETA movements. They are still great for everyday use, but just not as cool as the good'o American railroad pocket watches of the past.

If you are ever in my area, pop in to see the cleveland express. It's truly a work of art. For a COSC, it really is a great deal!

Night Train here with a NATO strap on it! Love the glow! In fact, it's so bright at night time, I have to flip the watch onto it's face. :P
