Hi There,

Thanks guys for all the interest over my last post. Especially you guys who ended up with the packs. Here are some New Marine Corps Items I have for sale. You will find some items in this post and others in the response slots below Hoorah!!

First I have a Brand New, never used, Current Marine Corps issue, Generation II ILBE RECON main pack. This is a rare limited production item, Designed and patented by Arcteryx's LEAF (Law Enforcement & Armed Forces) division.

Differences from the standard main pack:

It is larger than the standard ILBE main pack, has 1,000 Cubic inches more carrying capacity. It has mesh water drainage at the bottom of the pack. The Recon outer tail has PALS webbing all the way down instead of just halfway. There is an upgraded suspension package for better handling of heavier loads over long distance. The inside radio pouch is twice as long to accommodate a radio with a larger capacity battery. (SEE BELOW FOR DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILBE PACKS IN GENERAL)

Standard ILBE Pack description - Recon Main has the items listed above in addition to these below[/B]

The genuine original Marine Corps standard ILBE main pack patented by designer Arcteryx's LEAF (Law Enforcement & Armed Forces) division.

The backpack is made from Cordura 725 denier fabric, with MARPAT (Marine Pattern) digital camouflage. The pack is covered with a PALS grid (Pouch Attachment Ladder system), for the attachment of smaller modular pouches. Since the rucksack was the first part of the program issued to Marines, the ILBE Main ruck is commonly referred to as simply "ILBE." The ILBE can hold up to 120 pounds and has room for 60mm and 81mm mortar rounds outside the main pack. The Shoulder straps have a built in suspension system and sternum strap. The pack has an internal radio pouch, antennae hydration tube ports and an external bib for stuffing cold/wet weather gear, helmet etc onto the outside of pack. This bib also is built to house a 3L hydration carrier.

The ILBE was designed to help Marines shoulder the load burden and make it easier on their backs. The shoulder straps and waistband are heavily padded for maximum load carrying capability. Straps are adjustable with quick release buckles. The ILBE weighs 8.43 pounds and has a 5,500 cubic inch capacity, holds up to 120 pounds, and has room for 60 & 81 mm mortar rounds outside the main pack. This huge ILBE is approximately 32 high, and 16 wide at extended capacity. The waistband expands to nearly 50 inches.

Or - I have the same assault pack as above, brand new except my dog, Gotta Love Him, chewed a golf ball sized hole in the exterior of the outside pouch on the pack. Pack is still fully functional without repair, or you could easily sew a marpat or american flag or other patch over the hole.
