View Full Version : WTT (or WTS): Leupold Mark 4 scope for ACOG TA01B

Title pretty much says it. I'm looking to trade, or sell, my like new Leupold Mark 4 M3 LR/T 10x40 matte black duplex reticle scope for your new or like new Trijicon ACOG TA01B scope. My scope has been mounted, though you can barely tell, and was apparently on the rifle for about 30 rounds or so. I got in a recent package deal and just don't really need it. It also comes with a 3" sunshade, Butler Creek flip-up scope covers and a top "dial" calibrated for 168grain .308 bullets.

Here is what the Leupold website has to say about it.

And here are some pics.

I'm primarily looking for a straight across trade right now or maybe +/- a little cash depending on the deal. OR, I will sell it for $750.00 delivered and insured.

I appreciated your PM, though not your insinuation, that I might be intentionally selling a "knock-off" as real. That link is not all that "convincing" either. The scope I have does not look like that. I'm holding the scope...you're not....and I'll look into this.

I've checked the the Leupold website and their fraud warning as well as numerous other on-line sources. Here's what I can say so far...

1. My scope does not have Leupold medallion anywhere on it....but it's doesn't have a spot for one either. This scope looks exactly like the one on the Leupold website (the link I have in my original post)

2. The markings on the bottom of mine are similar to the knock offs (and authentic Leupolds for that matter) except mine doesn't have the typical 8888SC or 9999SC serial number so prevalent on the knock offs.

3. The knock offs seem to have white lettering and the word "Leupold" is missing around the objective ring. The scope in your link shows this and the warning on the Leupold website mentions it as well. Mine has nothing around the objective ring and looks more like the one on the Leupold website than the typical knock offs.

I've sent an email to Leupold's customer service to see if they can give a more definitive answer. If, in the meantime, anyone has been misled or inconvenienced by my post, I'm sorry.

Here's my response from Leupold Customer Service.....

That is a real leupold Mark 4. The early models were marked in that configuration.

Thank you

Anything else???

it's real, mine is the same way, no medallion on early model before 2002.
