No it doesn't. You can actually put useful software on a laptop, with the iPad you're limited to approved apps that are useless for any kind of real work.

the Ipad is useless.. Its just a bigger Itouch. Plus you cant do anything on an Ipad that you can do on a laptop.

They're not the same beast. If you try to compare them straight across, then you aren't understanding the potential paradigm shift.

That's pretty cool. I've got this case (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC361ZM/A) on the way for mine. No keyboard, but at least it will give it some protection.

I originally went with the Apple case...but I like this one better... doesn't cover the bezel at all and it's easier to get the iPad in/out. Also, the Apple case tends to collect dust/dirt around the edge of the screen.
