I really like my 92fs and wouldn't part with it. Bought it new back in the late 80's or 90-91 new from Cabelas. It is just to large to carry concealed, so I went looking. Finally settled on a Taurus PT911. I really like the feel of the gun in my hand and appreciate the size of it when holstered. Took some pictures for comparison and thought that I would share:

Now if I could find a lighter hammer spring...

My PT911SS got 8 lbs trigger, I will work on it one day to reduce to 4lbs, I did successfully with my 1911s and AR15.

I am going to take this down and see how much difference there is between its hammer spring and a 92fs spring. I have a bunch of different hammer springs for my 92, so will do some experimenting and report back. The trigger spring looks like a real nightmare to work with. I see that Taurus has disassembly/assembly videos on their website, so will be watching/saving those also. The DA pull seems smooth enough, I just want to lighten it up some. I will try and put another 200-300 rounds through it this weekend also to see if that helps.

Is the trigger plastic or steel? What about the recoil spring guide, is it steel or plastic???

Just curious!
