If the same arguments are used as for firearms, the private sale of
autos should be more regulated.

As we saw with OK City, car bombs can be much more devastating than
crimes with firearms.

more regulation, more taxes and fees.

plus, they can't lie about the value then and reduce their tax burden?

Yeah, and if you have dual tanks you must use a tool to switch between them.

Remember: The LEGAL car is the VIN tag and the driver's side door, because that's where the serial number is. You can buy all the other car components directly, but you MUST go through the dealer to buy the driver's door and VIN tag.

You also must get the OK of the county sheriff to conceal your car. Don't close those garage doors, folks...it's a FELONY.

Good point, you'll need a permit from the feds to own a car with an auto-parallel-park capability.

Great Point! Stick-shift cars only from now on. You must get a "dangerous car" permit to have fully automatic, which of course only people in the movie business can get!

Even though all models are the same, a drop test must be performed on ones with a different color.

Oh yea,

DON'T FORGET about the microstamping of all those exhaust particles.

You can have a full gas tank at home but anytime you take your car out in public, the gas tank must be empty and the car clearly visible. You can, however, carry an extra gas tank on you, just not attached to the vehicle.

As we all saw the Oklahoma City car bombs can be much more devastating than crimes with firearms.

California Legislature (safety comity) is in the process of regulating vehicle purchase in an attempt to be more proactive with the goal of stopping future vehicles from being used in terrorism.

The California Safety Committee is discussing the following:

A large capacity gas tank ban (except for Law Enforcement).

One vehicle purchase every 30 day; minimum of 2 forms of identification will be required.

Vehicle purchase will be restricted to those 21 years of age or older.

Background checks before a purchase of propane tanks.

A waiting / cooling off period for fertilizer purchases to include a DOJ background check

A must purchase of DOJ approved lock to go with new propane purchases.

Fully automatic vehicles will need special permitting; government employees will be exempt, manual vehicles will become the norm.

No more swiping the credit/debit card at the gas pump anymore, all gasoline purchases must be done through an individual with a Federal Transfer of Fuel (FTF) license. All appropriate paperwork is to be completed in full at each purchase.

No parking or stopping within 1000 ft of a school.

Window Tint will be outlawed to avoid concealment; special concealment permits will be issued to those that qualify.

There are more guns in the US than cars but cars kill 4 times as many people as guns. Why are cars not strictly regulated like guns? because everyone "likes" cars and are not scared of them for no reason.

Ban cars! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

And you need to get a special permit to park your car in the garage so that it can be concealed.

And don't even get them started on 4x4s, no one needs that kind of power, they should be banned in CA as well, you can commute to work just fine in your Prius (assuming it stops when you get to work), that sort of power is just overkill only people bent on killing other people would ever want to drive such a thing.

You should not be able to have a Porsche or a Ferrari as they as so fast they scare people. Your Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, et al should all be limited to 10 MPH, why would you ever want to drive faster than 10mph.

If you want a firearm you better be prepared to jump thru ever hoop they can throw at you. But if you want a 6000lbs rolling murder machine you pretty much just need a pulse.

We need to file suits against all car manufacturers for making cars that could
be blown up.

We need to ban all foreign import cars that don't have more than 10
US made components.

You need to be finger printed if you buy more than 50gal of gas per month.

No gas purchase by anybody under 18. No high octane gas for anybody
under 21.

High octane gas must be stored behind the counter

All gas stations must notify local police on all gas transactions

All gas must be purchased from a licensed gas station. No person to person
gas transfer.

You are required to lock up all your spare car parts in a safe.

Car talk among kids at school will result in a CPS/police visit.

If you get slapped with a TRO, you lose your driver's license and must sell of your cars to a car dealer or turn them over to law enforcement within 24 hours.

If your car gets towed, you can't get it back until you file a Law Enforcement Car Release application with DMV and DMV approves it.

Felons can't own, drive or ride in cars.

If your kid borrows your car and gets into an accident, you go to jail unless you can prove that you owned a locking garage and stored the car in it, without gas.

No threaded tail pipes. Too easy to attach a muffler, and car mufflers are illegal.

Private party transfers of cars must be done through a federally licensed car dealer, unless the car is more than 50 years old.

Cars cannot be driven onto post office property.

It is illegal to drive your car while masked so as to hide your identity.

We need to impose an FBR (Family BBQ Regulation) to restrict the sale, trade, manufacturing, and importation of propane tanks as well. Anyone thinking of cooking in a public place must have a license to do so, and consult with local LEOs to avoid any "Man with grill" calls.

This makes perfect sense.

I mean small gas tanks will equal less time the car can run in a chase.

Lets face it, cars are dangerous and public ownership should be banned. With only the military, public safety personnel, and the elite able to drive cars, public safety would be greatly enhanced. Highway fatalities would approach zero, saving tens of thousands of lives per year. Air pollution would virtually disappear overnight, again saving countless lives that are lost resulting from exposure to hazardous air pollutants. People would be required to walk, ride a bike or squeeze onto crowded public transit, resulting in a substantial increase in exercise and a drastic improvement in public health. Taxes could be slashed due to substantial reductions in road maintenance requirements and no need to expand the existing transportation network,. The military could also be downsized since there would be no need to become involved in petroleum-related geopolitical conflicts. The risk of an oil spill would be greatly reduced, since those nasty oil companies would only need to produce very small volumes of fuel. The concept of a car bomb would also become a quaint memory from more hectic times. So, write your elected representatives today and demand an immediate ban on personal automobile ownership.

What if the vehicle is C&R?

And what about we take all the vehicles with dangerous "assault" features, like big engines, lots of cargo space for bombs (IE seats for the kids), and with racing grip steering wheels and we just limit their gas tank size to 1 gallon? That way they should run out of gas in the middle of their killing spree.

What about air in the tires?
Tires must be pressurized only on State Licensed Tire realoading stations. Any non-SLT sation reloaded tires will concidered as overcharged and can be use agains you in court of law.
Before leaving State, at state line all tires must be descharged at SLT station and can be only recharged on other side of state line (see boycot AZ).
Tires can be reloaded only 3 times, after that they have to be disposed at SLT station. New tires can be purchased only at SLT station and must be charged on time of purchase. Any out of state purchased tires must go through full certification at SLT station at owner expences (procces might take up to 3-4 weeks), then can be use with certificate placed on plain view on each tire.
Spare air for tires can be held at owners property, but no more then 2 sets per household, must to be properly storaged and locked.

- gotta buy a car alarm or show a reciept for one thats 30 days old or less.
- 50 year old cars are C&R - but you'll be followed at car shows
-you can import a foreign car, but can no longer import any new foreign engines.
- motorcycles can only be purchased if on an "approved list" unless you are transportation dept official
- CA state law allows you to openly drive around in a car if you can legally posess it, but you will be harassed beyond belief by police. However, you will have no problems driving openly through a starbucks drive thru.
-the media will refer to every car involved in an accident as a drag racer or a tank.
- finally, Jay Leno would be a right wing extremist car nut and the ATF/FBI will fast rope into his compound from black helicopters before he can overthrow the government with his stockpile of cars.

-this was fun :)

And if your car goes through more than one gear with a single push of the gas pedal you need to pay an extra $200 tax.
