Which one should i go with?

I have owned Glocks... Love them

Just picked up an M&P9 ... pretty sure i will love it.

Looking for a really accurate 9mm .... going to possibly get into some competitive shooting.

I love my 34, but I don't know much about the Pro

Love my G34 but the M&P will be my next pistol. That sucker fits my hand extremely well. The trigger could use some work though.

the word on the M-P pistol forums is that the easiest/best thing to do is go to the Apex Tactical site and get their sear and striker block...they currently have a standard spring @ 4lbs, a heavy duty spring @ 5.5lbs and have a 2.5lb competition spring coming

The Glock 34 really is an awesome handgun. Not to say that the M&P isn't, but I don't have much experience with it. The availability of aftermarket and OEM parts is a relevant issue and the Glock certainly wins out on that one. Also, the grip on the M&P feels a little narrow to me, but that's obviously a personal issue. ;)

No comparison. Get the M&P. Most ergonomic handgun on the market. If you don't like the trigger get the Apex seer block for $29 and do the work yourself. Very simple mod. I tried it on my M&P .40. Took me 15 minutes. Shot it Saturday at the Police range. Wow! What a difference! The M&P trigger went from good to excellent.

Most ergonomic handgun on the market.

That's a highly subjective claim. The M&P doesn't feel right in my hand. I much prefer the Glock.

I'm assuming we're talking about a non-exempt purchase in California?

Looking at the list, I don't see any 5" M&P's on there. Is there something I'm missing?

Either will be fantastic, but I'd get the Apex Tactical trigger components to replace the smith parts that have had problems resetting.

I forgot to mention that I have over 12,000+ rounds of experience with my old 34 since Dec. 2006 before I sold it and it was a fantastic handgun.
