View Full Version : Sig P226 .22 Conversion or 226LR?? Battery of Arms Training

Hi Guys,

I have a new P226r Navy and am able to get 9mm ammo for around .23/rd - which isn't too bad.

But, I know .22LR is much cheaper and would allow more shooting, practice, etc. Using the same battery of arms with the 226 makes sense.

The price for a conversion kit is around $350-400 (including taxes).

Seems a 226LR is around $500-600.

I am not sure what to do here. Any thoughts?

Browse through SIGforum for people's AARs with their conversion kits. Some are happy, some aren't, almost all say it's better than the Mosquito.

SIGForum -> Sig Pistols -> Find -> .22 conversion

You'll get a whole lot of feedback on the subject. Good luck.

i'm assuming you are referring to the pistol which is a regular 226 frame with the .22lr conversion kit already installed. has this been added to the roster?

if it has and it still comes with the $300 discount coupon for a CF upper...it is the better buy
