View Full Version : What does it mean when rounds are loaded to "higher pressures"?

I understand that some rounds are loaded to higher pressures than others and are denoted by +P. However, is the pressure in an unfired cartridge higher or are they talking about pressures generated when the round is fired? Does better powder give higher pressures if this is the case? thank you
