I searched and saw some small discussion on a previous kit, so this isn't treading all new ground.

I'd also like to solicit opinions, what does the peanut gallery think of the .460 XD as an alternative to the Glock 20 for a 'woods gun' type of application?

I think that's frigging nuts.

I couldn't imagine having something that powerful in an autoloader. After shooting my 44 magnum Desert Eagle I don't think I'd want something that powerful in such a small frame.

However, it's also frigging awesome and should be encouraged.

Ammo avail = Glock 20 > XD

ammo availability isn't my most top concern, just because I loathe the idea of paying for significant amounts of factory ammo.

though I'm sure the .460 is harder/more expensive to find brass and appropriately designed bullets/SD cartridges for.

I just am not such a huge fan of the glock manual or arms, I find the XD much more attractive in that regard (can of worms, meet internet.. internet, can of worms. play nice)

I'm up in Anchorage right now(at least for another 3 weeks) and ive had alot of work done by wild west guns. Its a great shop and they do great work. About 3 years ago they built me a guide gun in .457 and last month they did a trigger job on my AR. They have a great track record with me.
