Is there such a thing as a single shot bolt action in 9mm, 40, or 45 ACP other than the Thompson Contender?

SINGLE shot, I don't know. Probably a high wall or falling block sharps.

I've got a mag-fed bolt-action .44mag from Ruger that takes 3-round rotary magazines. Not quite a single-shot, but it's a GREAT gun.

If you don't mind me asking, what don't you like about the Thompson's? I've got an Encore and LOVE it.

Well if you are a builder you can build a 45 ACP bolt gun from an old Enfield, I have one and it is really cool. So cool that I have had several folks try to buy it off of me at ranges. Try this link www.specialinterestarms.com
