Hey, just wanted to share the pics I took of my Kimber Team Match II with the new Esmeralda ivorywood celtic grips I just got....I'm excited about them, they look great!

I'm not a big fan of SS but those look nice on yours.

Those look nice. Do the carvings provide any traction or grip at all? I considered getting those with the celtic design but I don't want a completely smooth grip.

Via con dios!

Very nice, I'm diggin' it. And du9207 it doesn't look 9mm; look at the muzzle.

could be the angle of the shot, but they are .45acp. you can tell by the round profile of the bullet nose. 9mm are a lot sharper profile.

btw, awesome looking grips. had to wipe drool off the keys to type this post.

How much did those grips run you if you don't mind me asking?

Those are really neat looking grips. I have stag grips on my Kimber because they are thicker and give my large hands some room.

The only problem I have with those grips is knowing that I would run into someone with the exact same grips. I know.. stag is stag.. but every pattern is different.

I am going to inlay a celtic cross into my Dan Wesson 44 mag grips. I already stripped and refinished em.

Esmeralda (http://www.esmeralda.cc/)'s 1911 grips usually run $80-100. The nice thing is you pick out the exact set you want. Not just a style, but the exact pair that she ships to you. She seems to be pretty good about getting them out the next business day. If you want smooth grips instead of fancy checkering you should also give Sarge (http://www.thefinergrain.com/)'s artwork a look.

Thanks for the replies guys...

du9207: It is a goold ole .45 apc. In that first pic the rounds do like kinda small. To me owning a 9mm 1911 would be like driving a V6 Corvette...still looks nice and gets you from point A to B, but is just missing something.:)

teflondog: yeah the grips do provide some traction as more than half of the grips is engraved with the celtic carvings...they actual feel really nice...different than the full checkered grips that it came with, but nice. As you can see I do have front and back strap checkering as well witch also helps with grip.

Ducman: Baer looks great! I'm diggin the black on black.

johnnyt16: Grips cost $99...were about $108 when all was said and done. However, mine were a b-day present from my lady, so in actuality, they didn't cost me anything:43:. They were ordered on a Thursday and arrived at my place that Saturday...Fast!

Very nice, I have a pair that I picked up off a calgunner for a sweet price. I need to modify one though for the ambi safety on my Tactical. I've got a friend who's a carpenter that's going to do it for me.

Those ivorywood grips make my RIA look far classier than it really is.

Ducman do those grips come with back straps? Looks kinda like it's covering the mainspring housing. Thinking about getting it for my stainless.

Haha..Yeah I keep hearing this (definitely the most..The Hand Of God !!)

I also hear a gun from that more modern Romeo and Juliet where they wear guns and call them swords..and also Wanted where they can make their shot bend around corners...all I know is every time I pull out my gun now I have to admire it for a moment...just the way it should be :D
