I've noticed the IPV6 torrent tracker for Ubuntu has superb download speeds:

w00t!

Downloading now via standard torrent. Now I get to fix that Grub2 dual boot issue I put on hold last month.
I didn't want to put all that effort to fix my delayed boot since 10.04 release was just around the corner.

running 9 right now and liking it so far, may just upgrade. kinda iffy though since neither wine nor virtual box lets me play my pc games without sounding like its about to die.

I'm on 9 as well, but Grub2 mucked up my dual boot situation since I've got each OS on it's own disk. I was going to fix it until I saw 10.04 coming and that 10.04 supported the iPhone.
Looks like I have a weekend project now. :)

how did grub2 muck up the dual boot? I'm thinking of doing a dual boot with ubuntu 10.04 and widows 7 so i can play games.

I bet his grub.cfg is messed up.

Yes, JDay is correct about my Grub2 situation.

I moved to Ubuntu 9.10 on the day of release and Grub2 did not handle a dual boot scenario over 2 indiviual disks very well. There has since been a fix outlined for the issue, but I wanted to wait for 10.04 LTS.

The setup in question is my DV7T dual booting between Windows 7 and Ubuntu. I'm running two Hitachi 320gb drives in the machine right now; one for Windows, and the other for Ubuntu.

I don't see why you decided to wait, you can fix that in a couple minutes.

The fix was not immediately clear until a bit after my install. Now the fix is just minutes, but I didn't want to do it. The two minute Grub delay was not a big deal for me since I'm not 100% employed and required to be mobile anymore.
As with many things in life, my "To Do" list got put on the backburner. I ended up building a website for a friend, consulting for a small business start up, and then fixing a couple of computers.
