They're out of stock, so they may as well be $0.01 or $1,000,000,000.

Try one and find out. They are surprisingly effective for their size, and you don't get tons of blowback/noise, and they are probably the only muzzle device that doesn't blow tons of dirt around when used in urban prone.

The cost is because they are laser-cut and made of Inconel.

The material (inconel) and cost to machine it is why it costs so much. There are cheaper alternatives out there if you don't intend to run a suppressor (us regular folk in CA can't anyway). The beauty of this design is it doesn't have the harsh side blast associated with muzzle brakes.

Because there are a few people willing to pay that much, I guess. Seems insane to me, one can buy a Krieger barrel for that amount.

I've seen 'em used. They are okay. Like my SJ Custom better, though. ;)

Try a search for "...with bubba as your cellmate..." on this board...sounds like a possible connection.

Tasteful post, btw;)

I'm sure others have noticed it kinda looks like a mini grenade but in the shape of a soup can. I guess this shape helps to disperse the gases. I thought to myself when holding one, there are a bunch of potentally small schapnel squares right in your sight but being inconnel I guess it is very strong. I haven't heard of a malfunction and these are used heavily so no real worries. Just a thought..:43:

I think its like a show car, the first 50 points are cheap and easy, the last 1 point gets expensive..

If you can afford it and your rifle is already the best of the best... why not?

The triple-tap is designed to be an effective and lightweight muzzle brake for short barreled rifles.

The problem with muzzle brakes on short barreled rifles is the blast concussion is way too close to your face. Same with flash hiders. The triple-tap diffuses the blast in a way that it makes short-barreled rifles much easier to handle.

The price is determined by the material it's made out of and the extremely time-consuming and expensive production process.

So many people complained about the natural finish, I bet the one you have will become a collectors' item.

funny thing is, if you actually USE them, they blacken naturally :)

so then how is the triple tap compared to the DNTC comp? from people who have actually used both side to side..

From all of the reviews I've read, the triple-tap is an "ok" brake. Where it really shines is diffusing the blast. No other brake can do that, but they can perform better than the triple-tap for actual braking.

Not complaining about the finish. Just can't afford to have two of them. I put the kac onto an LWRC PSD pistol to tame the kick without the blast. It's still natural because I don't have the time to hit the range. Only to collect stuff. No safe queens in my collection. Too many toys, not enough time.
