Assault Planet (aka Prince50) has improved the design of the AK Bullet Button. The new version now includes a slot instead of a round hole and includes an additional set screw to be used, if needed, to ensure a tight movement-free attachment for various out of spec AKs and Saigas (not sure what "in spec" is on an AK).

The new design allows the magazine to be dropped much easier than before, even when using a bullet tip - something that was nearly impossible to do with the prior version without unseating the bullet from the brass. As before, no modification to the original magazine release is required and the lock can be easily installed/removed using only the included allen hex wrenches.

Price is unchanged, still just $34.99

+1 on the new BB design! I have one that I keep meaning to take pictures of and write a short review.

The install is VERY easy, it's super-solid and it is much easier to use a bullet tip to drop the mag now.

I highly recommend these, they are a great re-design (upgrade/improvement) on the original!

^any chance of a video or good pics of manipulation of this bb? I am looking to replace my solar tactical because I need a screw driver to get the mag out, and it is either this or kydex wrap and no bb.

XET,

No screwdriver needed for this version. I promise.

And you get to keep the pistol grip MK designed into this rifle.

Darin

Much nicer, I was getting tired of using a stubby screwdriver to release my mag. Time for an upgrade, taking trade ins? ;)

Love the new design. It's now compatible for both AK style rifles and unconverted Saigas.

can you extend the rear vertical walls of it to make saiga 12 versions or do these fit already ?

No, I don't think these are compatible with the standard Saiga 12.

Is it any different in function than this one?:

The only advantage I see is the price!
