I bought my MP15T in 2008 from Lan World for just over $1,400. Now they are the "Official CA Smith and Wesson Dealer" and the 15T is going for $1,900?!?!??!?! WTF?

My dad is going to buy him and my kid brother AR's. Who holds the biggest selection of AR's for the best prices for CA? Or is he better off ordering from GunBroker and a CA friendly dealer?

Also I'm trying to find out what he wants from these rifles, the runners right now are:

SW MP line

Daniel Defense

Bravo Company (is there a CA friendly dealer?)

Possibly Stag, however he does seem to want them to be most Mil-spec, rifling, chrome barrel etc.

I would buy a stripped lower and build it up, then buy whatever complete upper you want from somewhere like bravocompanyusa.com, riflegear.com, gandrtactical.com, etc.

Gives you more options to build exactly what you want. plus you can spread your costs out, and not have to drop $$$ at one time.

+1 riflegear.com
They are helpful, polite and superfast on shipping. Have a great selection of uppers and lowers in stock. They can assemble a custom version for you too.

Prices are good, especially considering they are in socal, costa mesa.

Where exactly are you located? I bought my DDM4 from Riflegear.com.
You can also just buy a complete lower locally and order an upper from somewhere else new or used. Good luck!

I recommended this to him. I have three builds going right now. But purchased my MP15T first and complete.

What's the extra tax when buying a complete rifle?

I know he wants a DMR type rifle. Not an SPR, but an M4 type with a nice sight, such as an ACOG or a Leupold Mark AR type sight.

My kid brother will probably get a basic with an Eo or AP.

Money isn't really an issue for him.

RifleGear (http://riflegear.com/) and Parallax Tactical (http://www.parallaxtactical.com/store/) are well within distance and worth the drive.

If you decide to go the FFL transfer route.. I highly recommend Sean at National Police Supply in Vista, as will other Calgunners.

I've used Sean multiple times. Much better than Turners. Friendly, and cheaper too. +1 for Sean. I'm expecting another lower soon. That's going through Sean as well.

Yes I would definitely go in to a store to see in person which type you like the best and then definitely buy online. Riffle gear is an excellent choice.

CWS might be freakishly expensive, but they actually have them in stock :)

Wait a while and it will go down to reasonable prices.
