View Full Version : Recommendation for a Muzzle Brake for my Win 70 (270 WSM)

I have a Winchester 70 Coyote Lite (270 WSM) and I would like to add a muzzle brake. I would like the brake to be removable if possible.

I have been looking at the Vais brake and the Magna-port brake. The Magna-port seems to come in a model without holes on the bottom for shooting from the prone. I would have to have the barrel threaded to add the brake so that I can remove the brake for hunting and put it back on for the range.

They both seem to run about $200 installed from each company.

Any experiences with either of these brakes?

Can you recommend another?

peace

Magnaporting is usually done right into the actual barrel.
It's not a removable brake.

They make a removable muzzle brake as well. Its called the Magna-Brake:
