......amazing. I just stopped by Sportsman's Warehouse in Albuquerque to get some ammo and decided to stop by to check the Gen 4 G17 out. It really is a nice upgrade from the Gen 3's. The grip is great, as is the new mag release. The 17 had the shinier slide finish while the 22 had the flat finish. I much prefer the shinier finish. This, along with my first time shooting a standard cap 15 round mag in my Glock 20 is making me loath CA gun laws even more. Looking forward to stopping my car just short of the CA border to unload and lock down :rolleyes:.

What's this I hear about Gen4 and their recoil spring needing break in or some such thing?

Mine doesn't need a break in; it's been flawless. I call BS.

Sounds like typical, anti-Glock FUD. Carry on.

How come you went to AZ and then to CA? Is the ammo that much cheaper (less than $0.23/rd for 9mm)?

is it just me or does the mag release on the Gen4 look extra large? is that the stock size or is that a third-party mod? just curious.

That's how the new reversable magazine looks like.

The Gen4 Glocks have a reversable magazine release system.
You can switch the magazine release to either side.
If you keep the mag release on the left side (where it's normally at), then you can use all nine generations of Glock magazines.
If you switch the mag release to the right side, then you can only use the newest 9th generation magazines.

confused, can someone explain for me :confused:

IB4GD or IBGD = In Before Greg-Dawg
IAGD = In After Greg-Dawg

It's a comment on how fast Greg-Dawg jumps in and posts a pic of his Glock 17Gen4.
