I was going to get a PBS5 fake can from Artty on theakforum.net but emails and pms have been falling on deaf ears. I need a 8inch can I saw the PBS5 on another website but $100 isn't worth it. What do you folks have for me?

Let me know about yours that we talked about. Is it the same one from ohio rapid fire or like Arrty's with the end that looks like a slant brake?

Not trying to sound like a dick, but what is the point of fake suppressors? Just looks?

Yup because making a krink into a pistol is just a WASTE...

So this PBS-5, does this satisfy the minimum length requirement?
How do I make it 'permanent' enough to satisfy the minimum length requirement, weld?
If its a non-sbr, and I just want to satisfy Cali minimum laws, anyone know of good fake cans that I don't have to weld?

if you already have a 16" barrel, you don't need to weld on any fake can
the attachment to reach 30" OAL doesn't need to be permanent.

Folding stock. So as far as I understand you need a can that you need a tool to remove not 'weld' it on for CA OAL purposes.
Can't find a can that applies. Is the detent enough?
16" barrel length is a federal law. 30" OAL is CA. If you have a >16" barrel and you are adding to the gun to reach CA 30" OAL it does not have to be permanent. If you have something like a Krink with a <16" barrel the extension must be permanent per BATFE guidelines.
I believe you can weld or use high temperature solder but I don't know for sure. You should do your homework on the BATFE requirements and don't take what I say as legal advice.

I think that you understand incorrectly. I have never seen any reference to needing a tool or other permanent way of making length for Ca AW laws. AFAIK, even a slip on recoil pad or a stick duct taped to your rifle would work.
