Was there ever a 50 BMG rifle w/wood furniture on it? I am aware of someone who might have such a thing and was just curious what it might be. Trying to get a chance to see the thing.

Many. I have seen homebuilt guns, Amacs, AR uppers with wood furniture, State Arms, Vulcan (if you want a pipe bomb), Norren and many custom bench guns. Now, in Fresno, there is supposed to be a rolling block in 50BMG. IT was one of only two made by Klaus when he owned State Arms. I believe it has wood furniture too.

For some reason I am picturing the Griswold's car in National Lampoon's Vacation.

Sure. I shot a guy's .50DTC that had a wood benchrest stock. Probably was as heavy as a bench, too.

What was the make? Are you sure it wasn't a fiberglass stock?
