After almost Two years of being in the sport, my fiancée decided on a Sig P229 in .40 cal. for her first handgun.

She's all about cleaning it herself, and is wanting to buy a 9mm conversion barrel (bar-sto) for weekend training.

It is the EXACT gun I was going to buy as my first choice (until I fired a 1911), but that's another discussion. We've taken it to the range and it's performed flawlessly. It is a CPO that looks Brand Spanking New. Aside from the butter trigger, you can't tell it's a CPO.

With that, I want to give thanks to Yatin Patel for selling us this beauty. He answered all my questions & even took calls from me at 10 PM his time. The shipping took a while (as I was anxious to get it), but the wait was well worth it.

For this sir, I thank you, and you have earned free advertisement via my signature. Deal with confidence, he is a Michigan dealer happy to do business with CA buyers.

Gratz! I have one just like hers and another with a rail. Very good guns and super easy to clean.

Do you mean a 357Sig barrel? You will need a new slide and barrel to fire 9mm. The 40S&W case is bigger than a 9mm case. You may have FTE or worse, a kaboom if you use the 40S&W slide with a 9mm round.

Thanks, I thought she made an EXCELLENT choice. Very happy to have something new to shoot & getting used to the DA/SA trigger is fun too.

Not necessarily...

Much cheaper than a whole new slide.

Excellent choice! I want the railed version.

Me too! Definitely on my list of things to buy. Congrats on the new gun, my gf is looking at buying a 9mm on her 21st. She hasn't said what, but I'm quite sure she's leaning towards the Sig SP2022.
