Hi there, I have a unrestrained question to ask you all specifically for the ones who own a firearm. After browsing through this site, i found out that you need a button to detach the magazine. My reasoning is I have nothing against you owning a firearm that needs a button because we live in CA. Above all, you may challenge me with this, but I would rather buy a big stick with spikes from www.swordsandarmor.com and have no button or fire arm at all, correct me if I'm wrong. And I'm fine with not having a firearm because forget about the button. So in the end, I'm a simple type person like things plain and jane so this may be the reason why I would rather buy a big stick with spikes attached instead of a firearm with the button, tell me what you all think firearm fans. I just can't reason needing to stick something inside a button to release the magazine. Can't lose a magazine or fumble over reloads, and I think we can all agree that this is the international symbol for "i'm going to **** you up."
If you have not read http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=293373 or http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=294439 this will not make sense or be funny at all.

Because the bad guys will be more than four feet away from you.

I'm really trying to appreciate this humor, really...

I think it does make more sense as a series.

Seriously, there are MANY fine semiauto, pump and lever action weapons that would make great SHTF material they do not require the castration button, as I like to call it. M1-As, Mini-14s. Saigas, Remington 7615s, 870s Benellis, Mossburg 500 pumps, R1 and BAR hunting rifles, 1892, 94 and 97 levers...

I prefer to keep things basic and stick with just a 2x4 with nails sticking out of out. But if you want to be a fool and just pay for the name, be my guest.

Don't worry about cleaning it until you've killed a couple thousand zombies. Those guys who say you need to clean your spikey club after every zombie's skull you crush are anal-retentive lunatics.

Nice!!! well put. There is a reason firearms replaced swords and clubs in the military.

How would that work with an inside-the-waistband holster?
Or just carry it openly everywhere, caveman style?

It looks like the perfect tool to operate a bullet button! Since it has 29 spikes, I can get 29 bullet button equipped EBRs to go with it.:D

I dont know, I personally like my bullet button. I put one on my pistol as well. Its just safer in case the bad guy gets your weapon, he wont be able to reload as easily. Just be sure to empty your mag before he takes it.

If he does take it while ammo is still available, you can always stick your finger in the barrel to block the bullet when he shoots.

I am a simple type guy as well, and that is why I prefer A pointed stick as I wont have to worry about losing any unnecessarily complicated metal spikes.:D
