It is finally official, just saw the new Wolf Catalogue, Wolf Gold Grendel 6.5 Ammo in 123 and 120, in brass case. Among other selections are M193 and .308 in brass.

As well as primers for us reloaders! I wish they were carrying the 9x18 ammo in the gold series though, still only have it in the Military Classic line.

It would be nice if Wolf would make the .50 Beowulf ammo. Since AA gave them a license for the Grendel 6.5 maybe the Beowulf is in the future ;)

The Wolf 5.56mm NATO "M193" isn't looking that good

I just read that thread, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Sounds like they may be using the wrong powder for the M193, which could be rectified. If it weren't for the shortstroking it seems like it would be a viable solutions once XM193 runs out (not too many vendors have it anymore).

At $200 per K, its not that great of a deal. At $150 per K it would make a nice plunking ammo. I'm sure my SU-16CA would love to shoot that stuff. I'm a little shocked by the FPS. 3100ish out a 16" is right there with the Federal M193. That powder looks very funny though. Looks like it will have inconsistent burn rates but that guys testing showed consistant enough speeds for factory ammo. I'd give it a try but that price should come down a little.

+1. It would be more attractive at a lower cost, but at least it is brass.

what does he mean by short stroked? is that something we should worry about w/ fixed mag rifles?
