I like the Cav A1 stock, but I really don't care for the buttplate they use (unless you are going ultra light). You can use a standard trapdoor buttplate instead.

Looking at that page, he got a good deal on a case... how many are in a case? Maybe it's gb time for everyone buying SRB's! :)

I third the proposal. For $19 + shipping count me in for at least 1 if not 2 of these beauties.

Really nice price for someone looking for a shorter A1 stock. Excellent quality but i agree the buttplate has some issues.

According to a post over at arfcom that I can't find right now, the CavArms C1 stock is identical to the Tapco C1 stock that's on sale right now for $9:
http://www.tapco.com/product_information.asp?number=STK090114&back=yes&dept=197&last=21

The poster claimed he compared them side by side and everything matched, right down to the mold lines. Maybe someone with more extensive search capabilities than I have could search for tapco cavarms over there and find the post.

I ordered one, and it seems fine, but I don't have anything to compare it to. Shipping cost about as much as the stock since I only bought one.

This could explain the great price over at HighRoad...

I suspect one important difference is that the Cav Arms stock is made in Arizona and the Tapco stock is made ... somewhere else.

Geez, so when's Tapco going to do a comparably priced A2?

Side note, I think my friend got ripped off spending $60 on something that looks almost exactly like this, right down to the grayish finish. No manufacturer listed on his...

hmmm...Tapco lists them as made in the US ? If you know for sure that they are overseas I'd rather buy the Cav Arms.

Also, if you thinking about buying a Cav Arms one and painting it, apparently they don't take paint well because of the "releasing agent" used in the molding process, FYI.

The TAPCO stock is a CavArms piece.
