Hi guys, I do not know much about this pistol but I was told this is a pre-B which does not have a firing pin and it's hard to get here in the US. Can someone please chime in? Running price?

Serial number starts with D..
Heavy holster wear.

I don't know about being rare, I see them from time to time. They usually go from $400-$500. Seems like it goes for the same price of other czs when I see it.

Based on the hammer, I believe it's the CZ 75 pre B, but I can not imagine a pistol without a firing pin and it still shoots...OR did you mean the Firing Pin Block?
I can still see people selling them on CZ Forum Site once in a while. Here's the link:

http://www.czforumsite.info/index.php

then go for the sub-forum which is the CZF Classifieds

Good luck searching. All the best. :)

Like the one in pics? Curved trigger guard with spur hammer?

Yes I have seen them go for the price I listed. I know this is the pre b version not the CZ75B we have now.

If you are not going to carry the gun, don't worry about the Firing Pin Block. It is common for them to be removed from CZ pistols for a better trigger pull.

Not rare, but not common neither. What your have there is a Pre-B model. It has the spur hammer and without fire pin block. Few other minor cosmetic difference (such as serration, round trigger guard shap...etc).

There are 2 major difference you should know.

1) The absent of fire pin block. Most people point out the Pre-B model has better trigger and credit it to the absent of fire pin block.

2) Pre-B CZ75 and post B CZ75 use different magazine. Which make what already harder to find magazine even more difficult.

The price I usually see them are around $350~400. So in CA add another 10~15% will be realistic.

I'm not worry about the block nor I'm a big fan. Reason I ask is I might be sitting on something valuable and I might consider bring it here. FA is outside the US and I was only able to shoot it once when I visited the old country.

I don't know if rare is the word I would use, but they are certainly a little more sparse than the B's and many other modern semi-autos. There's no doubt that they are great guns!
