Grip and recoil. More comfortable, I'm using the short frame or non-backstraps. The new RTF texture is a huge improvement. Lastly, the new dual recoil system is a great invention, it reduces recoil to 3/8ths.

The "innovations" remind me of a p2000.

sure..for 550..its nice. For import cali tax of 800$..screw that. i'd rather buy a p2000 for that money.

they cost 500-550$ in real market, but in Cali the only way you can get them is if someone in LE or otherwise gets one then ppt's it... and of course they up the price to 800$+.

Gotcha, that's what I assumed you were talking about.

Wait a little while. That price will come down as the demand decreases and/or as the supply increases. I agree that the Gen4 is not worth $800+, but I don't support HK so I have to disagree on the P2000 point.

There is no such thing as a $800 Glock.

3/8 in comparison to what? The total overall recoil (what you would experience with a revolver) or what the Glock used to have back in Gen 3?

How much is recoil dampened in comparison to the old Glocks?

does the dual spring system have a noticeable affect on how the gun 'feels' when firing?

thanks

Recoil is really in the eye of the beholder; via shooter or cartridge grain. The new Dual Recoil system on the Gen4 does have a significant difference in feel. All I can just say it's more pleasant than the older G17s.

I'd have to have you shoot my Gen4G17 and an old G17 for the best answer.
